It is finally here, our Patented Formula Creme, the NEW Pure-Gold. I like to call it "Rita's Creme", because it was Rita, the person who originally formulated Sun-Pro's product who designed this creme. She has been always ahead of her time with all the products she developed, so I would guess the NEW Pure Gold is no exception. Now a little bit about why I am involved with Sun-Pro.

I have used Sun-Pro for years. Matter of fact, I have used it since it was developed in the mid 60's. You see, Rita, the creator of Sun-Pro products is my mother. In the early 90's I approached my mother and told her that I would be interested in buying the Sun-Pro company. We agreed to some terms and the long and short of it is that I am now the President of Sun-Pro of California, Inc.

Over the 15 years that I have owned the business I have done limited to no advertising. In that time the business just kept on ticking. To me what is so amazing about the Sun-Pro products is that they sell themselves. It is the repeat or new customers who become sold on the great things that Sun-Pro does for their skin.

I would imagine it's like being raised on fine wine, a big house or a fancy automobile; you don’t know what you have because you have already been treated with the best. I have been using Sun-Pro products exclusively. Rarely have I tried other sunscreens. When I have tried them, I realize why we have such loyal customers, they realize how great Sun-Pro products are.

Many people have told us that they don’t understand why we are not widely distributed. I guess it is because my mother and father always ran the business more like a “Mom and Pop” business instead of large chain department store. I’m sure they would have been "famously" successful if they did run it like a large chain, but instead they stuck to customer service, a few quality products and reasonable pricing. It is amazing considering that Sun-Pro was one of the first sunscreen with Vitamins E, A & D. Sun-Pro also brought out Lip-Pro in 1980, and it was the first lip balm with sunscreens and the first multi-vitamin lip-balm. My mother was always an innovator and well ahead of her time. In 2006 we brought out our line of Heavenly Lips which is something unique and different.
